Who we are

This policy describes how Inspection Strux collects, uses, discloses and retains the personal information you entrust to us through this site.

Inspection Strux is the trade name of Groupe Strux inc., whose head office is located at 17310, rue du Grand-Prix, Mirabel, Quebec J7J 2M4.

The person responsible for the protection of personal information is Jean-Benoit Toupin, who can be reached at the following address: inspection@groupestrux.com.

Tax registration numbers: GST 78633 1249 RT 0001 — QST 12 3418 0700 TQ 0001.

The information we collect

We collect only the information needed for the purposes described below.

Through the contact form: your name, your email address, your telephone number if you choose to provide it, and the content of your message.

Through the quote form: the characteristics of the building to be inspected, its address, its municipality, and your contact details. When you accept a quote online, we also retain the date and time of your acceptance, as proof of consent.

Automatically: the usual technical data recorded by the hosting server, such as the IP address and the browser type, for the security and proper operation of the site.

Why we use it

Your information is used to answer your request, to prepare and send you your quote, to schedule and carry out the inspection, to deliver your report, and to keep a record of the agreements reached.

We do not sell any personal information and we do not use it for commercial solicitation without your consent.

Who it is shared with

Your information is disclosed only to the service providers needed to run the service — site hosting and email delivery — and only to the extent their role requires.

If we refer you to another inspector, none of your data is passed to them automatically: you are the one who contacts them.

We may have to disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Messages received through the contact form are kept for the period needed to handle the request and to follow up on it.

Files relating to quotes and inspections, including in particular contracts, reports, photographs, documents provided and other information relevant to the mandate, are kept in a secure environment for as long as needed for the purposes for which they were collected, and to meet our professional, legal and administrative obligations.

This retention is intended in particular to allow the file to be consulted later, to answer a request relating to a past inspection, to ensure the traceability of the documents produced and, where applicable, to allow rights to be established, exercised or defended in the event of a claim, dispute or legal action.

When the applicable retention period expires, personal information is securely destroyed or anonymized in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask that it be corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete, to withdraw your consent to its use, and to ask that it be deleted where the law allows.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the address shown on the Contact page. We reply within the time limits set by law.

You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Cookies

This site uses one session cookie, strictly necessary to its operation: it carries your answers from one step of the quote form to the next and protects the form against fraudulent submissions. That cookie expires when you close your browser.

The site uses no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking tools.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to the files is password protected. No system is infallible, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information against loss, unauthorised access and disclosure.

Changes

This policy may be amended. The last-updated date shown at the top of the page is how to tell that something has changed.
